Join 1st Sewing Center?s Bloomington location for a 9-Month Quilting journey to expand your sewing expertise as we begin a Block-of- the-Month program that will end with you having completed 9 blocks that can be used to make a 56? x 56? quilt top.

This class will help you master the basics of paper piecing with patterns that gradually become more challenging. You?ll receive hands-on, step-by-step instructions to build these beautiful Halloween themed 10? blocks that can be turned into decorative pillows, quilts, table runners, and much, much more!

Garment Sewing Group is a monthly meeting featuring garments, pattern modification and review, and the latest news in the sewing world. Whether you are an experienced sewist or just beginning - this club is for you! Bring Show and Tell for a chance to win a door prize.

Cutting out patterns on the floor? Got questions about pattern directions? Bring your project or sewing goals and spread out in our spacious classroom. We will help you choose pattern, fabric, decipher pattern directions, fit-whatever you need.

This is a ?you pick a project? and we will work with sewing techniques, fit issues and serger application. Start to finish or jumping in on the middle of your project, set this time aside to work on your dream wardrobe.

Machine Embroidery is fun and embroidering with your friends is even more fun! Join 1st Sewing Center and our Embroidery Instructor Maria Slowik each month to learn about different machine embroidery techniques, stabilizers, needles and threads for your machines. We will explore techniques such as tiling projects, quilting in-the-hoop and much more. This hands-on Club is an opportunity to try different projects in a social environment and the company of others. The Club will meet every third Saturday or the following Monday of every month from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
