This is the 2nd class of the Bernina 990 Owner's Class that instructs you on the working of your new or new to you Bernina 990 Embroidery Machine that you purchased at 1st Sewing Center. This is part 1 of the Embroidery section, which will be done in 2 parts.

Learn the foundational skills and items needed to create beautiful machine embroidery. This class will go through the different stabilizers, fabrics, needles, design files, hooping and more. In session 1, you will create your own Stabilizer notebook. In Session 2, we will review Session 1 and work on 2 small projects to understand the basics and prepare you for the types of projects we do in 1st Sewing Center's Embroidery Club.

Love is in the air! And, will also be on your table. Add this quilt block and embroidered in-the-hoop table runner to your table and let the romance fly. Maria will walk you through how to take these beautiful heart shaped quilt blocks made in the hoop and turn them into a fun table runner to entice that special someone.

You just finished that quilt and want to add a special label to it so the receiver knows that you handmade it. What do you do? You join Maria and Carlos as they show you the steps in creating embroidered labels that you can use to add to your quilting or crafted items. The labels we will make feature funny phrases for makers and crafters!

Embroidery can be fun, but what do you do with all those files? How do you download them? Where do they go after you buy them? This is a basic computer skills class to teach you how to download files via different methods and websites. We will also discuss filing methods and how to get them from your computer to a USB stick so you can load them into your machine.

I'm sure we are all missing the sun and being in our flower gardens so what's better than embroidering flowers in the middle of winter? Go on a journey with Maria to learn how to make this beautiful Wildflower block cushion/pillow. This cushion can be made in several sizes so you can add dimension as well as beauty with the 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 sizes for your hoop. Get ready to battle! We are making indoor snowballs. Build your pillow fort and get ready to battle your significant other with these soft yet non-melting snowballs. Rachel is back for National Strip Set Day (a.k.a. Jelly Roll Day)! This year we are learning to make the Hexie Harmony Quilt. This is the perfect project to learn the potential of the Creative Grids Hexagon Trim Tool. Cut and sew diamonds and trapezoids to make half-hexie blocks, which means there are no inset seams. Cut additional background trapezoids to float the blocks. All you need is thirty-eight 2-1/2-inch strips for the focus fabrics!
