Quilting Classes

Time for bird number 2 from the "Backyard Bird Quilts" book by Jodie Davis. Tiffany joins us again to create one of Carlos' favorite birds, The American Goldfinch. The bold contrast of the yellow and black of this talkative backyard feeder bird will bring a smile to anyone's face. Tiffany will walk you through the steps to make this fun and beautiful paper-pieced, 8-inch quilt block that you can use to make a variety of different items. Or, combine with the Cardinal from last class and create an even larger project.

Cost: $ 60.00
Rachel is back for National Strip Set Day (a.k.a. Jelly Roll Day)! This year we are learning to make the Hexie Harmony Quilt. This is the perfect project to learn the potential of the Creative Grids Hexagon Trim Tool. Cut and sew diamonds and trapezoids to make half-hexie blocks, which means there are no inset seams. Cut additional background trapezoids to float the blocks. All you need is thirty-eight 2-1/2-inch strips for the focus fabrics!

Cost: $ 89.36
Join Quilt Instructor Rachel to learn how to use the Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper ruler to make the Sawtooth Star Quilt Block. Use a combination of fabrics to make your star twinkle. This class will teach you to use the Wing Clipper ruler to make the units that when assembled leave you with a 10 1/2" unfinished block that you can combine with other blocks to create a small table topper or pillow center. Make a bunch of blocks, add sashing, and create a full quilt.
