Join 1^st Sewing Center’s Bloomington location for a 9-Month Quilting journey to expand your sewing expertise as we begin a Block-of- the-Month program that will end with you having completed 9 blocks that can be used to make a 56” x 56” quilt top. Along the way you will learn new construction techniques like how to do Half Square Triangles, Combination Units, Quarter Square Triangles, and Flying Geese. The journey takes off August 27, 2022, and will continue on the 4^th Saturday of each month for a total of 9 months. Maria, our instructor, will show you the tips and tricks to successfully make each month’s block and how to keep everything looking crisp and square. A separate quilt finishing class will be offered at a later date that will instruct you on joining your blocks, adding borders and completing the quilt.

Time: 10 am until 3 pm

Class Cost: $10 per session over 9 sessions ($90 total) + class supplies.

For this Quilt Block Journey, you are required to purchase the following kit (available at the Bloomington store):

•          The BOM Fabric Kit
•          A Tucker Trimmer Ruler
•          A Wing Clipper Ruler
•          A Quilter’s Magic Wand Ruler
