Learn the foundational skills and items needed to create beautiful machine embroidery. This class will go through the different stabilizers, fabrics, needles, design files, hooping and more that you need to know in order to begin. You will create your own Stabilizer notebook as well as a very small project to understand the basics. This class will prepare you to advance to our Machine Embroidery II class where you will take what you learned here to a larger project.
In order to take this course, you should own and understand your embroidery sewing machine. There is no requirement as to a specific brand or type of embroidery machine to own in order to take this class. The information provided in this course is foundational and agnostic to any specific brand of machine.
This class is one of the two prerequisite classes before you can join the 1st Sewing Center Machine Embroidery Club and is offered once quarterly.
Cancellations must be done 3 days before any scheduled class/club or your class fee will be forfeited. If you do not show up to class, your class fee will also not be eligible for refund. Please call the store at (952) 884-1938 with any questions.
