Machine Embroidery and Your Computer
Embroidery can be fun, but what do you do with all those files? How do you download them? Where do they go after you buy them? This is a basic computer skills class to teach you how to download files via different methods and websites once you have purchased them. Join Carlos, 1st Sewing Center's resident tech guy, for a 3 hour session to discuss basic computer jargon, downloading, filing methods and how to get them from your computer to a USB stick so you can load them into your machine.
This class will be taught using a Windows laptop computer with a USB port and mouse. Apple products, other smartphones or tablets will not be acceptable to use in class. Microsoft Surface products are okay.
Class Cost: $30 (This secures your spot and instructor fee)
Time: 10:15 am - 1:30 pm
Cancellations must be done within 3 days of the scheduled class or your class fee will be forfeited. If you do not show up to your registered class, your class fee will also be forfeited. Please call the store at (952) 884-1938 with any questions.

| Skill Details: | You must have basic understanding of your computer/laptop and be able to use a mouse. |
| Requirements: | A working windows based laptop computer with a USB port (multiple ports is better) and a mouse. No Apple products and/or simple tablets are enough to participate in this class with the exception of the Microsoft Surface products. If there is any doubt, please contact the store. In addition, please have set up an account and purchased at least 1 embroidery design from one of the reputable design sites (i.e. Embroidery Library, OESD, John Deer Embroidery Legacy) prior to class. |
