Paper-Pieced Goldfinch Quilt Block Class with Tiffany
Time for bird number 2 from the "Backyard Bird Quilts" book by Jodie Davis. Tiffany joins us again to create one of Carlos' favorite birds, The American Goldfinch. The bold contrast of the yellow and black of this talkative backyard feeder bird will bring a smile to anyone's face. Tiffany will walk you through the steps to make this fun and beautiful paper-pieced, 8-inch quilt block that you can use to make a variety of different items Or, combine with the Cardinal from last class and create an even larger project. This is an intermediate level class and you should already know the basics of paper-piecing.
In this class you will:
- Use color theory to chose the right shades of fabric for your block
- learn to make lightly more intricate paper-pieced units to complete your block
- tips and tricks to make your paper-piecing easier
